#NSale Outfit Inspirations

thefashanel

Hi friends!

I thought I'd go through my favorite Nordstrom Sale items and style a ton of looks for those of you who would like some inspiration or ideas on how to style what you already purchased, or even for those who aren't sure what to choose when shopping. I came up with 25 looks and I hope you enjoy them! Comment on this post with what your favorite looks are, I would love to know your thoughts. Also, everything is linked below each outfit and on my LTK page.

First I'd like to start by go over the pieces I purchased on my original shopping trip, and that is not to say that this will be all of it because there are so many cute items, I'm strongly considering getting a few more.

I went with the items I needed, thought were most versatile and one key piece that I just thought would be so fun the style: the Good American Blazer Dress. I've styled so many looks with this item already and am so excited to share them all with you on IG.

I also went with the Treasure & Bond over the knee boots in tan, matching oversized knit cardigan by BlankNYC, the Steve Madden mules in the cognac color which I thought was so pretty, and the Barefoot Dreams long cardigan in beige which I have been waiting for. This is my first Barefoot Dreams piece and the reviews on the softness are all true! This cardi is amazing and I plan on wearing it in the fall and winter all the time.

For activewear, I went with the Zella bike shorts in Snow Wash (greyish/black) and the Spanx Every.Wear leggings - I already own the faux leather and love them so I thought the regular would be a great addition. I also purchased the Commando faux leather leggings because I wanted to compare them to the Spanx (blog post on that coming soon) and I just love the faux leather legging look so it is nice to have another option.

And lastly, I purchased the Spanx bodysuits in sleeveless and long sleeve. I know these are pieces that I will wear all the time so they were definitely worth it. They are just simple black bodysuits with a not too deep v-neck and the quality is amazing - they're each an absolute basic that pairs easily with everything.

So, let's get into the looks. Please note that I've chosen items that I think will mix and match well so you can easily build a capsule out of these looks for late summer, fall and winter. Enjoy!

Outfit Inspiration 1:

This first look is a simple jeans and jacket pairing but what I think makes it really special is the color scheme. The mix of greys and olive greens against a black base is so moody and perfect for fall. Also, this BlankNYC Moto Jacket is only $56! Can't beat that.

For this look, I've chosen a real leather jacket option from Allsaints which also comes in a sage green color if you wanted to upgrade look number 1 or in turn use the BlankNYC from above here as well. I've paired this with the BlankNYC suede mini skirt that is so so popular right now.

Outfit Inspiration 3:

For the third look, I am pairing the Good American blazer dress with a pair of Good American skinny jeans and Sam Edelman tall boots. This piece is so versatile as it can be worn as a dress, a boyfriend blazer, or more of a tunic blazer with jeans/leggings.

For this look, I am pairing the Barefoot Dreams circle cardigan with Spanx Faux Leather Leggings and adding a Barefoot Dreams doggie sweater to match with your little one! How adorable is this?!

Outfit Inspiration 5:

Look number 5 is an ultra casual plaid shirt and bike shorts paired with the Marc Fisher LTD Chelsea boots that add just enough edge to the entire ensemble!

Outfit Inspiration 6:

This is a really great late summer look. I love the knit tank top that adds texture to the look as well as the acid wash jeans that add so much visual interest. I've paired them here with a basic white sneaker by Converse.

Outfit Inspiration 7:

This is one of my favorite late summer/early fall looks of all time. I love the black and white combination with a little tan in the hat and off white in the shoes and bag. I'm strongly considering going back for this hat because it just pairs so well with everything.

Outfit Inspiration 8:

This is such a great winter look, the jacket is very similar to the Free People Quilted jacket that has been so popular last year, except it comes with a $35 price tag! I've paired it here with BlankNYC faux leather leggings which are on sale for $40 and a great dupe for the Commando/Spanx more expensive alternatives. I'm loving the tan combat boots trend as well and these Sam Edelmans pair perfectly with the tan felted wool hat.

Outfit Inspiration 9:

Another great combination featuring the Allsaints leather jacket! Here I am pairing it with the BP. Thermal Crop top and off-white accessories.

Outfit Inspiration 10:

Look number 10 features the BlankNYC cardigan and the Treasure & Bond over the knee boots, both items that I have purchased. These two pieces match so well and pair perfectly with black and white, and I have paired them here with the Free People faux leather faux wrap skirt which I think is so incredibly cute.

Outfit Inspiration 11:

For this late summer/early fall look, I have paired a simple burnt orange tee shirt dress by Madewell (the color is actually called Golden Pacan) with the Steve Madden cognac mules and the Tory Burch Carson Crossbody which adds the perfect pop of color.

Outfit Inspiration 12:

Here I have paired the camel WAYF long sleeve turtleneck sweater dress with the tall Sam Edelman boots in black, and Ferragamo belt. This belt is a bit of a splurge but it is reversible (black and brown) and a really great value for the price.

I thought I would throw in a self - care or lounging look into the mix. These PJ's are the Nordstrom brand short set which I tried on during my initial trip and I loved them. They are super soft and comfortable and also come in different styles - long bottoms/long shirt. I'm adding in UGG slippers and matching robe for even more comfort and topping off with silk pillow cases for the ultimate luxury!

Outfit Inspiration 14:

The next look is the WAYF sweater dress paired with the Pikolinos Vikar combat boots which I think are so cool! I love the strap detail around the ankle and the tan trim, they add a little bit of edge and of course much more comfortable than heels! I'm also adding the Madewell simple chain hoop earrings to top off this look.

Outfit Inspiration 15:

I don't think the shacket trend is going anywhere this year and I've found this super cute plaid one by Treasure & Bond in the sale for $60! I love the colors in it and think that they would pair really nicely with any other neutrals such as the grey shearling booties by Marc Fisher.

Outfit Inspiration 16:

This next look is such a cute, edgy combination which I am just loving. I love the masculinity of the Allsaints leather jacket and combat boots with the burned out wash of these Zella bike shorts. Such a great look for fall. These shorts also come in plus size which I have linked below.

Outfit Inspiration 17:

This next combo is a workout or lounge look pairing the Spanx leggings with Zella sweatshirt and Asics sneakers. I own a lot of Zella loungewear pieces and love the quality of them, they are such a good brand, and I feel really good about recommending them. The sneakers are mainly for running with a gel technology for extra comfort and on sale for $99.

Outfit Inspiration 18:

This is such a great casual yet dressed up combination pairing Kut From The Kloth coated jeans in Cognac with the mesh Zella long sleeve shirt. This look can be worn out in the evening for a date/dinner/drinks (you can even substitute a pair of heels) or daytime with a longer tank top layered underneath. I am just in love with this color scheme.

Outfit Inspiration 19:

For this look I have paired the Barefoot Dreams long cardigan which I purchased as part of my order with a white chiffon tank top, Good American skinny jeans and BP. mules. This is such a cute and casual fall look that I am just loving. You can also trade out the mules for boots and add a long coat when the temps drop for the winter months.

Outfit Inspiration 20:

For this look, I have paired the Treasure & Bond turtleneck sweater with BP. button fly mom jeans as well as the Marc Fisher Gadri cream booties and Tory Burch crossbody. It looks like the pinkish color for the sweater is no longer in stock but it's still available in black and pale grey, which would work equally well with this outfit.

Outfit Inspiration 21:

Another shacket look since we all love shackets so much! This is Thread & Supply and priced at $32 and it comes in two plaid options as well as light blue. I love the neutrals and paired it here with black and white, my general go to combo. The Chelsea booties also add a little more visual interest to the look and help tie it all together.

Outfit Inspiration 22:

This look is another option in the athleisure category which pairs basic black bike shorts with a loose and flowy long sleeve tee shirt. This one is so great for walking, hiking, or just general running around all day and taking care of errands.

Outfit Inspiration 23:

This next look includes a simple brown v-neck sweater by Open Edit which is in the sale for $40 paired with the faux leather leggings by Commando and tall boots by Sam Edelman. These are all very basic items but when paired together, result in a very chic and classic look. I love the dark chocolate brown of this sweater, especially paired with the leather look leggings and suede, this makes the entire look feel rich and luxurious.

Outfit Inspiration 24:

As in the previous pairing, this look features suede and leather textures as well which greatly elevate the look to feel expensive. I absolutely love the combination of brown and black, in case you haven't noticed yet, because of the dark moody feeling it gives off. This look is absolutely perfect for fall and something I see myself wearing over and over again.

Outfit Inspiration 25:

And for the final look of this series, I have chosen this statement pair of faux leather trousers by Open Edit with are in the sale for $40 and look so amazingly chic. I have paired them with a basic crop top and off white accessories which I've featured in so many looks throughout this post. I think these booties and Coach crossbody would be such a great addition to anyone's wardrobe and are definitely worth considering if you are looking for cute shoes and matching bag.

Well, that's all for now and I really hope you enjoyed this post! Please let me know what your favorite outfit inspiration was and what your favorite pieces are from the sale. Have a great day!

XO,

Bernadetta
